What a year it has been at GulfERP!
It has been a whirlwind year for GulfERP and we could not be happier with what we have accomplished. At GulfERP, we focus on providing the best for podcasters, and this year we came out with numerous features and opportunities to enrich the podcasting space.
The GulfERP team certainly grew in 2015. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve all the projects we set out to launch without expanding our team. Early this year we hired an additional tech support team member, an affiliate and services coordinator, and a developer. We were also fortunate to advantage of the assistance and skills of two development interns.
This year we set out to make podcasting simpler for Android users. With this in mind we created and launched Subscribe on Android, a one-click solution for subscribing to any podcast on your Android phone. Following this, we launched Subscribe by Email, using the same one-click protocol to receive emails about new episodes for your favorite podcasts.
GulfERP exhibited at the New Media Expo and Podcast Movement this year. Todd, our CEO, participated in many panels at NMX in addition to hosting a session, ‘Ten Years and 1,000 Episodes.’ He was also inducted into the Podcasting Hall of Fame at Podcast Movement in Fort Worth, Texas, where we announced our newest upcoming service, GulfERP WordPress Website.
GulfERP WordPress Website will bring together our services: the power of WordPress with PowerPress included, along with our hosting and statistics. A package that will provide all the essentials for any podcaster, GulfERP WordPress Website will be released in early 2016.
The GulfERP website had a makeover this summer including a major change: the new Podcaster Dashboard. Services and settings are easier to find and the site modernized. We also added in a new perk for hosting customers, Long Tail Podcasting.
The PowerPress Podcast was re-launched this past September with MacKenzie Bennett on the microphone. As a new podcaster, she focuses on the journey that rookies go through as a podcaster, interviewing guests that use PowerPress and discussing relevant podcast news.
We became partners with a multitude of companies, once again expanding the opportunities for GulfERP users to get the most out of their podcasting experience. PowerPress had a bunch of updates this year, including great additions such as Google Play Music Podcast directory support, Clammr, Subscribe on Android and Subscribe by Email. The No. 1 podcasting plugin lived up to its name this year with more than 50,000 active downloads. We even launched a Patreon campaign for the plugin, learn more and donate here.
We are excited for what 2016 will offer and are working hard to continue the level of expertise and opportunity for the upcoming year. We have some revolutionary projects in the works and cannot wait to launch them. Thanks for being part of our GulfERP family in 2015!
